Day 2, take 1 #fuckthatpose is An #inversion and I’m going with the trendy, yet oh so appropriate #sarvangasana
Since I practice ashtanga, this is in my finishing sequence, but you would think I would be better at it by now! I mean, my elbows will not go in. It’s painful. It sucks. I tend to fall into #deadcat often, as shown at the end of my video 🤣
🌺 Make up your mind that you will be unstoppable. That you will lead, not merely follow. That you will take your genius and your creativity to new heights. That you will not find excuses, that you will find a way. That you will craft a new story about your way. And it will be a story of victory, not of defeat. That you will find your purpose and that you will live on purpose. That you will break through your fears and the opinion of others. That you will find your truth🖤
your real identity🖤
your real love🖤
and you will be FREE🖤
~ James Week 🌺
This is for me, and for you. This week is somehow, sad, low - just like the London weather or too much moody Pisces energy?! Maybe it’s time to move on?! 🦋 Really grateful for this little yoga challenge, to get me up & moving... after boring depressive day in the London city office.. Re-connect. Physically & mentally!
February is the month of Love. Time for a #yogachallenge all about self-care, love & kindness 🕉 Join in to open your heart, restore your body and relax your mind.
Welcome to day 4 of #OMLOVEMYSELF 🕉 today’s posture is the elegant #deerpose 🦌🦌 wonderful #yinyoga posture to counteract any hip openers, eg. Yesterday’s Mālāsana 🙃 💜💜🦌🦌 Start by sitting in Lotus/Butterfly, then swing your right leg back behind you, bringing the foot behind your hip. Position the front leg by moving the foot away from you. Try to make a right angle with the front knee. Move the back foot away from your hip until you start to feel like you are tipping away from that foot. Keep both sitting bones firmly rooted to the ground.
♓️If you're very flexible, you can begin to move your feet away from the hips.
♓️To get a nice stretch to the side body and the back thigh, twist around toward the back foot by rotating to the opposite side. You may rest on your elbow here and try to bring your head to the floor.
♓️ don’t forget to do both left and right side
♓️Windshield Wipers are nice: they can be done lying down, sitting up, or reclining on elbows.😉
♓️You can bend your torso & hands down for full stretch if you dare ➡️➡️ Ps. Interestingly this one is also called: SwastikaAsana (as a character 卐 or 卍) ⬇️⬇️comments
When you take acro pose names too far - high flying whale 🐳🐋🐳🐋🐳🐋🤰🏽🤦🏽♀️😂.
Funny story - the other day I'm in this cute Mexican market and a Mexican seller I go to every week starts asking his son how to say a word in English. His son is dying of laughter and embarrassment and won't answer his dad, his wife is nodding her head in shame too and then he finds the word "A WHALE A WHALE!" - I'm like dude I know it's getting big but come on 😂😂😂 "noooo not you my dear, whale music - it's good for the baby!" 😂😂😂. Good save! .
With my partner in crime @stac3y_lynn and our accidentally matching outfits 🙌🏽 #winning . .
