Home is wherever I’m with you. 👈🏻
This has never been more true for our little family. While our home base will still be Oklahoma, we are all packed up to leave for Texas! It’s sad to leave our hometown friends and family, but so exciting to be able to travel while Ivy is young. When work takes the hubby far away, I’m so grateful we get the chance to go along!
I’m grateful for all that has happened in my lifetime- the people I’ve met - the opportunities I’ve attracted.
"Confidence is a big part of being vulnerable, and anytime you create something and share it with others, you are putting yourself out there. You need to trust yourself and stand behind your ideas, your business concept and your decisions. If you don’t believe in yourself, you can’t expect anyone else to." @annielawless in my @womenatforbes interview. 🌻

#maventalk - ❤️ The holidays can be a time that people get really stressed out. I want you to know that it doesn't have to be that way. ❤️ You can create a #bal#balancedrhythm that allows you to have joy and peace during this season. You will have to set some intentional boundaries and be ok that it won't make everyone happy. 🙏🏻 Your mental well-being is important enough to be intentional about it. Enjoy your holiday season #mavennation! #balancedrhythm #holiday2017#mentallyhealthy
Have you read our story on @karinachicote yet? Karina is the change maker behind the Youth Partnership Project and works hard to create positive change for underprivileged Aboriginal children around Perth. She works for the Youth Affairs Council of WA, @savechildrenaus and is a writer/contributor for @kinwomen // In an excerpt from our story Karina says..
"I had a lot of challenges growing up. I was one of ten siblings who were older than me and there were issues ranging from domestic violence and drug abuse. There were people outside my immediate family who were role models for me and showed me a different life that I wanted to live. Because of them I wanted to give back to other young people...."
"The fact that some people are born into circumstances where they don’t need much help to do things but for other kids that’s not the case. Some kids do actually need a lot more help so for me its about standing for equality....My vision is that we reduce the number of times young people walk into detention centres."
"I think we have this perception that successful people always have it together and that they know what they’re doing. They’re amazing, they’re born with gifts but I’ve learnt time and time again that it’s not the case. No one does."
