#SoleqtrInterviews @ohhhitsbaha —- When did you start collecting? - Around the age of 16 perhaps? Not really sure but i remember what kicked it off, I saw a pair of filas in JD (a local uk trainer store) on sale for 15 pounds. I got them and I wore them everyday until they fell apart. —- Top three sneakers owned? - I don’t really have favourites, it really depends on the day and the look I’m going for. There are go-to trainers like the Yeezy v2 Oreos or Iniki triple black but sometimes you have to go fancy on them and pull out the Loubtins or the Gucci aces. —- Fav sneaker brand? (if you had to pick one) - If I had to stick one brand I guess Adidas, what they’re doing now and their vision really aligns with what I believe in which is comfort + aesthetic in other words boost is life. —- What was the most recent pair of sneakers you bought? - I’ve bought around 7 pairs of shoes in the last 3 days, it’s getting out of hand but I would definitely say the one that I am most excited about are the Gucci ace sneaker as they’re sold out worldwide and I finally found my size. —- How many do you own? - I’ve lost track now especially moving to Doha I’ve forgotten what I have in London but I would say 40/50ish. —- Where do you buy your sneakers from? - I really enjoy personally going to retailers like Offspring and trying shoes on and seeing how they look on feet but I’m always keeping an eye on Facebook groups because you never know what bargain/s you can snag.

#SoleqtrInterviews @rob_thebruce —- When did you start collecting? - As an enthusiast rather rather than a collector, my modest collection is a result of Jordan being my idol growing up. I fell in love with his sneakers, which were simply a means to play basketball, so I guess it all started in 1991 when I got my first pair - Jordan 6 white infrared. —- Top three sneakers owned? - Jordan 5 fire red silver tongues will always remain sentimental and nostalgic, but currently in no particular order: 1. Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard, I like everything about this shoe - the quality, the inspiration behind the colour scheme, it's one of a kind. 2. Jordan 4 Premium Black -  I got them on holiday in NYC, so they are a memorable pickup. 3. Jordan 11 DMP - for me they are the epitome of what Jordan represented - excellence x success. —- Fav sneaker brand? (if you had to pick one) - Nike/Jordan brand. —— What was the most recent pair of sneakers you bought? - Adidas ultraboost 3.0 black/white. Brand new they're more comfortable than an old sneaker! —- How many do you own? - Somewhere in the 50-60 range. I don't keep count, and can't at the moment as they're in different countries. —- Where do you buy your sneakers from? - Depends on where I am and what I'm looking for. For new releases I stick to brick and mortar retailers like Nike and Footlocker, or online via sneakersnstuff, shelflife and titolo. I still enjoy the shopping experience of hoping your size is in and trying them on. I like to see the shoe up close first; Nike's official pics can make any pair 'look' good! If I'm hunting for something older and specific, which is usually the case, Ebay, Sole supremacy and FC.

@adidasoriginals Iniki Boost Courir SMU Drop date, Friday 10 Nov Price, QAR 525 @courirme Mirqab Mall 30 pairs only - SMU stands for Special Make Up, meaning a special production made exclusively for Courir. This colour-way is not only exclusive, its native to France but the folks at Courir Middle East have managed to direct 30 pairs to Doha. The Mirqab Mall branch is the only store in the GCC to have them. The olive green is a nice alternative for the usual wheat winter sneaker look. The gum outsole complements the green more than any other colour I’ve seen from the Iniki. I’ve actually copped my true size this time as walking in them is a different experience than just trying them on. They’re not primeknit so a snug fit isn’t necessarily the right decision. Aside it’s aesthetics and limited availability, the price point for this boost sneaker is very reasonable and a big selling point for most looking for some fashionable and affordable boost tech. They were a ‘cop’ the moment I saw them. Get to Mirqab early, you don’t want to miss out on these. A s/o to Graham and Renz for their usual review support. ——— @osm4n @__1981 @ohhhitsbaha
