Walking into Costco, I was overwhelmed by all the supplements and vitamins at the entrance! I know it’s the time of year that everyone wants to change their ways and get healthy, but for me staying away from these is a no brainer. My body cannot process man made, synthetic substances? But it can process food, and that’s why I love my salad in a capsule. My body knows just what to do with it and is thanking me for it. More energy, better muscle recovery, less sickness in my household, etc. I’m a happy and healthy girl because of it! #glowingjpstyle#healthylivingrevolution

I love walking into a book store and finding that one of the most prominent tables is FILLED with beautiful HEALTH and NUTRITION books! 🙌🏻 So awesome!! BUT, it’s also an indicator (yet again) of just how much our culture over-complicates these topics 🤦🏼♀️, making the average person feel confused and uncertain of which advice to follow. 😏 Clearly, the vast majority are looking for answers and guidance in this area... these 4 books were just a SMALL sampling of what I saw, but these ones caught my eye because they cover the specific desires I hear from people all day long: how to stop weight gain or lose weight, how to change cravings to make weight control easier, how to prevent or reverse disease/chronic conditions, how to get kiddos to eat more plants, how to achieve better skin/hair/nails, how to make healthy meals that the whole family will enjoy (without spending a ton of time and money), etc. AND GUESS WHAT!! The one simple change and the lifestyle program I recommend (because it’s simple, sustainable, and based on scientific research), solves ALL of these “how to...” issues and costs less than the purchase of these 4 books would cost you! #boom AND comes with ME- your personal nutrition educator + the support of a community of health pros and doctors! #JPliving#shred10#notadietalifestyle#fuelgreatfeelgreat#healthylivingrevolution#takehealthyback#onesimplechange#wholefoodnutrition

Yoga play time after teaching this afternoon. I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made. This pose may not be perfect but I’m feeling super strong in my shoulders lately and enjoying the journey. My heart is also so so open and I couldn’t be happier. I stopped backbends for a while and wasn’t consciously aware how closed off I was to receiving and giving love. But Ive been really focused on opening my back and shoulders this past week and it’s done wonders! I still feel like crying after some backbends and that’s okay, I’m just now aware of the pain I may need to release. Instead of continuously being closed off, I’m honoring my pain and letting it flow out. Finally, Energetically everything is starting to feel right. I’m super grateful for this practice, and grateful for my wonderful body which allows me to practice 🙏💕🌻

Ever make a resolution and then break it🙋🏻♀️Same. Hard same. I wasn’t even starting on January 1st but I was really good at saying I was going to make some change and then doing nothing about it. Turns out you if you want change you have to be willing to actually make changes to get there🤷🏻♀️ In the last few months I started listening 👂🏼📞to my body more and taking better care of it🥗🍓🍌🍎🍋 No crazy major changes or lifestyle overhauls but making small and simple changes that made me feel better and also look better which wraps back to feeling better.
I wanted to keep track of the physical changes I was making and as I looked back through my phone realized I have about a dozen different “before” photos with nothing to show as an end or “after.” The last photo on the right certainly isn’t an end point but it is obvious that the changes have been positive. Joining the healthy living revolution made beginning to take care of myself fun and easy.... hmu if you to know how you can join too!

Feeling #thankful today for the life I have chosen to live.
Thankful for the women in my life who are incredibly smart, driven and generous. They inspire me.
Thankful for my health. It takes effort and compassion to say no thank you to unhealthy choices and yes to healthy ones. I'm happy that I have finally learned to listen to my body and am able to nourish it with healthy meals and carve out time for introspection and movement, so that I feel stronger and capable.
I'm thankful for a job that allows me the flexibility to be with family and be present in my daughter's everyday activities.
None of this is easy, but so, so worth it!
