Kunyit Bantu Cegah Serangan Jantung
Studi ilmuwan Chiang Mai University Thailand menemukan, ekstrak kunyit yang terkenal dengan properti antioksidan dan anti-inflammatory, kemungkinan membantu mencegah serangan jantung pada pasien yang baru menjalani operasi bypass. Selama operasi bypass, otot jantung dapat rusak akibat kekurangan aliran darah dalam waktu lama, sehingga meningkatkan resiko serangan jantung. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan, curcumin yang memberi warna kuning pada kunyit kemungkinan dapat meringankan resiko itu
Dilaporkan dalam the American Journal of Cardiology, peneliti melakukan studi terhadap 121 pasien yang menjalani operasi bypass non-darurat, separuhnya diberi kapsul berisi 1 gram curcumin yang diminum 4 kali sehari, sejak 3 hari sebelum operasi hingga 5 hari setelah operasi. Ditemukan, pasien operasi bypass yang diberi curcumin beresiko 65 persen lebih rendah terkena serangan jantung. Pasien-pasien tersebut juga menunjukkan kadar lebih rendah inflamasi dan stress oksidatif pada darah mereka. Menurut peneliti, properti antioksidan dan anti-inflammatory pada curcumin kemungkinan membantu menekan kerusakan jantung pada pasien operasi bypass

1. I am beautiful in both pictures! It’s amazing what our bodies can do, and my kiddos are blessings that I prayed for. My goal is to love myself, flaws and all.

A report published last Friday found the UK is the most obese country in western Europe! Our obesity rates have increased by a whopping 92% since the 1990’s, and over 25% of us are obese. Obesity costs our economy over £47bn a year and the NHS over £6bn. As a nutritionist I am well aware obesity is a complex issue and there can be many underlying reasons why a person is overweight or obese and it’s not always down to lifestyle choices, but when looking at figures on this scale we have to consider our food intake and attitude towards food as a nation. We need a cultural shift away from convenience and back to real, affordable food, and the food industry needs to be held accountable for what they put in our food and how they sell it to us. Maybe the money from the sugar tax should be spent on cooking classes and a compulsory two hour lunch break like the French do, where everyone sits down to a freshly made meal and learns what real food is about again…. There was this restaurant when I was a kid that served the BEST ⓜⓘⓛⓚⓢⓗⓐⓚⓔ!! It's still around, but dang it if I got out of town after high school. ✌🏼But anyhow, I got this new milkshake glass and these super fun unicorn colored straws!!🦄 during my shopping 🛍trip today. Oops! I was supposed to be grocery shopping!! 🥑And the glass reminded me of the restaurant because it was set up to imitate an old 50's drive-in diner! Hard to remember back 15+ years ago, but I'm thinking my ⓜⓘⓛⓚⓢⓗⓐⓚⓔ tonight was WAY BETTER!!! Oh yeah, and it was vegan and plant based with all the ✨suuperfood magic!!!✨
