I steamed them a bit to soften them up. I also steamed some broccoli, mushrooms and garlic and topped with Fresh Thyme's sauce. Of course this wasn't complete without nutritional yeast. 😉 It was pretty yummy and filling for being all veggies. I love this oil/grain free lifestyle. 👏🏻 #theveganess
This is one of my favourite places to go for a run! The view is breathtaking and I love how every time I walk past the ocean it looks so different to the last time I saw it, despite the fact that it's the same ocean. I feel like people are the same... we have the ability to change and adapt within our environment, and while some are more stubborn than others, the ability to change still exists within each of us. I read an article that stated "you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with" and while this may not be completely accurate, the people we spend the most time with do have a great influence over our thoughts and the decisions we make... so it makes sense to surround yourself with people who will have the most positive influence on your happiness and wellbeing. Often instead of finding a few vegan friends, newbie vegans like myself try to force those around them to become vegan... as I've found, this doesn't work. My family has been much more receptive to veganism since I stopped talking about it and started leading by example (making yummy foods and naturally being happier and healthier). They have started asking me questions and it's great because then its on their terms and they cant say that I'm forcing them to do anything. I suppose now I just trust that they will eventually see the option of veganism as the only option.
For anyone following me/reading this post, know that I am extremely grateful and hope you have a beautiful day!!
