Just for something completely different. I was driving home after dealing with some pretty difficult news a little while ago and just had to stop the car to properly appreciate the incredible light hitting these dried grass heads. I only had my iPhone on me and there was a hot, gusty wind kicking up dust, but I liked how it came out in any case. More importantly - for me anyway - was that it reminded me how quickly just a moment or two in some beautiful light with a camera in my hand can change how I perceive the world around me. Photography completely bypasses the usual pathways my brain uses to process the Information it receives from the world around it and allows me to access parts of my mind and soul that is both enriching and thought provoking at the same time. I’m totally drawn out of myself and submerged in the moment. It fascinates me how our minds and bodies react to the world around us and much of the research I’m currently exploring supports how important it is for us as individuals - and I think as a species - to connect with nature. It doesn’t need to be stunning - even some dried, dusty grass by the side of road can be enough it seems....

These mountains made me speechless and flying on a helicopter over Japan is an incredible experience.
Хочу сильные крылья, чтоб парить и следовать за солнцем. Чтоб дышать горами, и мечтать лесами.

In Iceland the sun crosses the horizon currently at around 11am in the morning only to touch it again at around 4pm.. a photographers dream. Everything is touched by golden light from a low angle all day long
