You know its gonna get real when you tie your hair in a weird messy bun! . . . Working my way back with #squats again. I skipped them for a long time ever since August 2016. My 1RM was 90kgs (Aug 2016) but I remember my back ached for days. I did 7x6 70 kgs, but I'm unsure if I'll go any heavier for now as I want to focus on form. Also, want to focus on Deadlifts more, but my grip strength is weak af. Life is hard when you can only train 4x per week 😅

Yes please do them all!! But do remember, getting stronger in all rep ranges is key. Say you do side laterals for sets of 20 with 10 lb dumbbell. Here’s another version of my preworkout meal that I posted a few days ago. Instead of using cream of rice and almond butter, I used cream of wheat and regular peanut butter. If I’m not mistaken, the only big difference is that this version is lower in carbs, which could be beneficial if you’re trying to lose weight or cut. Basically just add 1 serving of each with 1 cup of hot water and you’re good to go! Btw that’s sugar free syrup for all of you that got happy lol

Just because you don’t have food with you or you have to eat out, doesn’t mean you have to make bad decisions. There’s always a way to improvise and most the time you can request something that’s not on the menu as long as they have the items in stock. For example, this was a meal I got from Waffle House, 2 chicken breast, 4 egg whites, and 2 whole eggs.

First time pulling 5 plates on deadlifts back in 2014 when. Dang my form was ate up🤦🏼‍♂️😂 was lucky enough later on to work with friend and past coach @sir_gymratfitness to show me my wrongs and the right way to perform big lifts.

A protein shake I use as a go to for weight gain. 8-12oz of milk, 1 cup of oats, 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, 1 banana, 1 scoop of whey protein, and peanut butter if you’d like. Around 43g of protein, 96g of carbs, 21g of fats, and 725 calories. Wouldn't recommend drinking this unless it was post workout or if your trying to gain healthy weight.

*WORK IN PROGRESS* Only way you’ll ever learn and grow is if you be 💯 with yourself. Here you can clearly see my range of motion where I tore my pec and slightly injured my shoulder is still an issue with depth on certain lifts. I’m not here to show you all my perfect lifts, but all the good, bad, and ugly because no one does it perfectly every time and everyone fails from time to time. This was my last set where the goal was to work your way up doing 8 reps each set until you hit a weight you failed at before or at 8. I did 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, before failing with the 90’s at six reps. Better safe than pushing and risking another injury.

Day two of the “28 Days Later” Program by @mountaindog1 Did day one of legs yesterday and didn’t think I was gonna survive lol. Today was Chest, Shoulders, and calves. This is only 2 out of 9 exercises from today. Still having a tough time with the range of motion after tearing my right pec. It’ll take some time to get my body back to where it was before hand, but I’m determined to get back and better than before. First exercise was my 8th and final set on flat DB press, did ten reps with 100lbs and immediately dropped down to 60lbs for 15 more reps. Second exercise was sets of 20 reps doing body weight dips.

I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for about 2 weeks now and have nothing but positive things to say about it. Its a great source for overall health and longevity. I typically fast from 8pm till 12pm the next day(16 hrs) then eat a meal every other hour for 8 hours(4 meals) and start the fast over again. Just a few benefits are listed in the chart, but there are many that aren’t covered there. I began fasting to help shrink my waistline and within just 2 weeks, it’s back down to where it originally was before with no muscle loss.
