1 year ago!! My first Strongman competition! The Showdown 2 @mongrelgaragestrength. I remember telling myself no matter what I want to deadlift the car! I want it to go up at least once!!!! I was so happy! I learned so much and was around amazing people! Preparing for Maiden, I want to bring my best, leave it all in the floor and just bring improvements from last year! That’s all I will say because I’m superstitious and I don’t want to jinx myself. Don’t judge me it’s just who I am as a person lol! 😂😂😂😂💪🏾

Was around 210lbs here bulking and probably the biggest overall I’d ever been. Strength was amazing at this size, but it doesn’t really fit that well being in the military when you have to run constantly.

My first powerlifting meet that was about 3 years ago. I had no time to train for it and honestly didn’t know I would be doing it until 2 days before it was held. I just happened to be at a military base in Kuwait for training involving work at the time, and found out they were gonna be holding a meet at the local gym on post that following weekend. Even though I’d been training and was sore, I entered anyways and pulled off a 3rd place finish. Overall it was a great and rewarding experience!

This is not my usual type of fitness post, but I notice a large amount of my followers are from overseas countries such as Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Dubai, and so on, so I figured some of you might enjoy it. A few years ago I got to help train a small group of Iraqi soldiers who all became very good friends of mine. The experience was humbling and mind opening to experience a different culture and life outside of my own. The guy in the pic with me was my battle buddy at the time. As you can see, we didn’t have much to work with there as far as weights, but we improvised, made it work, and pushed each other to be better everyday. Learn to make the best out of every situation life throws at you and you’ll live a happier life. Hope all these gentleman are doing well and RIP to the ones that are no longer here 🙏🇺🇸🇮🇶🤝

Here’s another version of my preworkout meal that I posted a few days ago. Instead of using cream of rice and almond butter, I used cream of wheat and regular peanut butter. If I’m not mistaken, the only big difference is that this version is lower in carbs, which could be beneficial if you’re trying to lose weight or cut. Basically just add 1 serving of each with 1 cup of hot water and you’re good to go! Btw that’s sugar free syrup for all of you that got happy lol

Just because you don’t have food with you or you have to eat out, doesn’t mean you have to make bad decisions. There’s always a way to improvise and most the time you can request something that’s not on the menu as long as they have the items in stock. For example, this was a meal I got from Waffle House, 2 chicken breast, 4 egg whites, and 2 whole eggs.

A protein shake I use as a go to for weight gain. 8-12oz of milk, 1 cup of oats, 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, 1 banana, 1 scoop of whey protein, and peanut butter if you’d like. Around 43g of protein, 96g of carbs, 21g of fats, and 725 calories. Wouldn't recommend drinking this unless it was post workout or if your trying to gain healthy weight.

*WORK IN PROGRESS* Only way you’ll ever learn and grow is if you be 💯 with yourself. Here you can clearly see my range of motion where I tore my pec and slightly injured my shoulder is still an issue with depth on certain lifts. I’m not here to show you all my perfect lifts, but all the good, bad, and ugly because no one does it perfectly every time and everyone fails from time to time. This was my last set where the goal was to work your way up doing 8 reps each set until you hit a weight you failed at before or at 8. I did 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, before failing with the 90’s at six reps. Better safe than pushing and risking another injury.
