Deep hues and colorful reflections during a winter's blue hour in Prague. Lovely landscape capture by @omarzrobles with his #XT2 XF23mmF2 R WR, a portable weather-resistant combination perfectly suited for travel.
Capturing these two on their wedding day yesterday was truly an honor. From playing in the opening band when my band toured through to being a quality man and provider, Jared you are a stand up guy. Angilina you have a heart of gold. Congrats to you both!
I’m t-minus ten days from heading back to the Great White Continent (Antarctica) and it is safe to say that I’m starting to get ice fever. I love the polar regions and can’t get enough of their extreme beauty. Last time I was there, @istefpayne and I had the trip of a lifetime, and I so wish she could join me on this expedition as well.
Here’s a fun shot of adelie penguins walking along their penguin highway (from the breeding grounds to the water’s edge). One of my favorite things to do while exploring on land in Antarctica is to sit somewhere close to these highways and capture the endless procession back and forth.
A reminder: our national parks coffee table book is coming out soon! 240 pages of beautiful images from every single national park in the United States on our yearlong epic quest to visit and photograph them all during the centennial. There’s still time to pre-order at a discounted rate (link in bio). #onassignment@nat@natgeotive @fujifilmUS@fujifilmx_us#fujifilmx_us @natgeo #love#instagood#ngexpeditions@natgeofineart
“Window to the soul” there is a hankering for medium format that I have. Just like large format, there is a certain look you achieve that you can’t emulate easily with a 35mm or APS sized sensor. Or so I thought. I shot this with my #fujixt1 using an old #vintagelens a #hasselblad 80mm fe lens. Normally the crop and the lens field of view would make this somewhat unusable...but coupling it with a focal reducer gets it close to the focal length on a full frame. So this hasselblad 80mm which is like a 35-50mm on full frame is around 80mm on my Fuji....it makes for a great portrait lens....with incredibly shallow depth of field at f2.8
