What if you gain weight? 😵😵 this is the mentality many of us have when we miss a workout or two, or even a week! However, this is not the case. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• When you workout, you place allot, and I mean allot of stress on your body! This obviously depends on your intensity level, but personally, if you have trained with me before, I love volume and HIT workouts! The sweat 💦 the burn 🔥 I LOVE IT! However, for how much we may love this training endorphin, our bodies can only handle so much! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Ask yourself, when was your last deload week? That is reducing overall weight and intensity in the gym? If you ask me .... 😯😯 I couldn’t say a date! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• It takes time to understand our bodies limits. I mean, I am still learning mine. And currently, my body has hit its limit! I had a long talk with @bretcontreras about this and I have to say, this was one of the most refreshing conversations I have had over my fitness journey! When he said “Okay we are deloading you, and your taking a month off from your workouts and doing my plan o give you.” And surprisingly, One side of me was thinking 😇😇😃😃🙏🏼🙏🏼 and another was thinking 👈🏽👈🏽😳😳 meaning I was shocked to be excited to take a month off from my workouts 😵😵😵 LIKE WHO AM I?!? •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Plan of attack as I prep for Arnold’s: 1 month AWAY from high intensity workouts and lifting; this week I am deloading and training 3x with weights; hitting up @thehotboxyoga for some amazing classes; 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

This was Kent and I just 4 months into our healthy lifestyle journey. He started at 23% body fat and I was 24%. After just 4 months of healthy eating he was 8% and I was 15% body fat.
