End of February in Northern Michigan - that weird in between. Mother Nature sure likes to play with our emotions this time of year. What a tease with that 50 degrees and sunshine act you pulled earlier this week...
I’m trying to think of something profound to say about this photo I took of Finlay at Badwater Basin. Something deep. 🤦🏻♀️ And this is what pops into my head.... 🎶 “One lonely beastie I be, all by myself without nobody.”-Beastie Boys ☕️ I shouldn’t post before coffee. ☀️ Beautiful afternoon in Death Valley. 🌊 We’re 238’ below sea level at Badwater.

Today would’ve been my grandpa’s 87th birthday. I miss him all the time but what I feel pales in comparison to the loss my grandma is experiencing. She hardly spent a moment without him for the last 62 years. Things I don’t think twice about are difficult for her. She didn’t know how to put gas in their car because ever since they bought it, he’d always done it for her. How do I assure her that she is capable of being a strong and independent woman? 😔 I wish I could take on the burden of her pain and sadness for her so she didn’t have to feel any of it. She shouldn’t ever have to feel scared or alone 💙💙
It was like a giant came along millennia ago and unleashed his wrath and fury... In reality, the raging Colorado River tore apart this earth, creating canyons so deep you can't even see the now-calm waterway anymore.
This part of the world sure is captivating.
There are no words to describe the feeling of standing next to the great titans of nature. I feel as though that is because they are our only true windows to understanding how big the universe really is and how they are only just the beginnings of its immensity.
The gardens aren't the only jaw-dropping thing about Green Spring Gardens -- the sunsets are pretty on point, too! Photo by Tuan Pham via @fairfaxparks#FXVA // Tag someone you'd like to spend time with here.⠀
Oh my soul, I love The Keys. We had an amazing time here and I’m sad to leave. But now we’re headed back up the Gulf for some more beach time then way up north to North Carolina to visit my Mama’s side of the family!! The adventure continues!
🎈🎂Happiest of birthdays to my adventure and life partner!🎂🎈 A man who plays as hard as he works. And tolerates 4am wake up calls so that I can watch the sunrise from the top of a mountain. 😘🎁 Can't wait to surprise you with your birthday adventure gift!
Had an awesome weekend at @camelbacklodge with my best friend @drewtangclan_34. Easily the best day of riding I’ve had in a while and such a great way to close the winter out 😎🏂
One more ode to beautiful Utah!! Thanks for all the awe, sand and stars!
Some of the incredible places we visited in #gra#grandstaircaselante are on the chopping block for federal protections from deforestation, mining and more. BUT! The BLM is taking public comment right now on concerns/thoughts for this area:
**if you have a moment- the GSEP are suggesting people send comments requesting that the BLM planning process wait until the legal actions challenging Trump's order are resolved. .

Today we're exploring one of the many natural gems in the Pacific Northwest...@olympicnps! "We spent 6 nights at Olympic and barely scratched the surface. The diversity of ecosystems there is just fascinating and means that you can enjoy wildly differing landscapes without going more than an hour or two," Andie says. Her little ones especially loved checking out the sea creatures and climbing the rocks and driftwood along the beaches. If you've visited Washington with kids, what were your favorite spots to explore? Tell us in the comments! #gowithnugget
