Usually, when you think you know something, life hits you with a lesson to tell you to sit down and show you how ignorant you are. If you are wise and aware enough to notice it, you will learn something new.
My latest lesson came through this guy, Yvone Nugel (hope I got his name right), French #savate teacher. Now only he taught me a couple lessons, but also showed me how effective the simple things can be. For example, some excercises looked kinda childish, but gotdamn they killed me. Btw this guy is 54, doing all konds of crazy stuff, trains every day, sometimes even twice a day, runs and on sundays, he rides a mountainbike through hills and shit. Wow.. 👏🏼👏🏼

The application of leadership, whether over a large element, small group, or yourself should be based on the current environment. For the tactical world, from the full time tactical team member to the individual who carries for defensive purposes, that includes matching updates in gear and equipment to the current threat. Leadership and management of any assets, including yourself, includes mastery of tactical and technical skills. A lot of us in the public service industry (military/first responders/etc) feel like we’re in a constant case study in leadership—good, bad, or indifferent. The best leaders I’ve ever had and try to emulate mastered the art of flexibility and take the input of new information in stride. 🤓🤓🤓
