Here sits on the floor of a japenese backpackers after sleeping many consecutive nights on floor matting one of the worlds best nanas. Despite not living close by she is determined to be in as many of the boys days and memories as possible she has out done herself this trip despite all that her well worked 72 year old body has told her.
These two 😍 Tomorrow is fly out day 🙁
She loves her Dad. My heart hurts for her everytime Lee leaves. -#fifolife#fifodad#fifowife#fifokids#dadandhisbaby#5monthsold
*Long post ahead*
It wasn’t until the last few days where my friends and family have been reminding me of how much of an awesome job I do with Azzah, He is healthy, happy, loving and a typical 2yr old, and I thought to myself damn right I bloody do a good job 🤣 majority of the time it’s only Azzah and I, as Siv has a FIFO job, 3 weeks on 1 week off. I get tired, frustrated, overwhelmed, emotional and even more tired but at the end of the day as a mum you just put all that aside and you Keep going! I work x2 days a week, 3 next year. We go to swimming once a week, I go to the Gym the days I don’t work. The dishes, the washing, the floors and cooking are done every day! Azzah is always my No.1 priority! I go some nights without tea, I sit up all night with him when I have too and I get up the next day like it’s no other. We don’t have family who live around the corner that I can just ring on for help, or to give me a 10 min break, but there is hundreds of families out there in the same boat as us. I miss out on fun nights with the girls or trips away. Azzah has unfortunately had a rough start with a lot of sickness in his early years too! When I’m sick you don’t get days off. Parenthood is not easy and you can never be prepared for it. There’s no “how to book” or some survival kit you can rely on when you need it. But a very good friend reminded me the other day that “You should always apply your own oxygen mask before applying a child” the best thing I’ve heard as a mum! So to all the Mumma’s out there that may be having a tough day or just one of those days, just remember to apply your own Oxygen Mask first! I’m super lucky to be your mumma Azzah and forever grateful for my finance/family and friends.
