Bottles on deck.
I always enjoy a visit to the @buffalotrace distillery, especially when they are bottling one of my favorites!

Our very own Scott Henkle led a Buffalo Trace Antique Collection tasting where we sampled some incredible (and incredibly rare) whiskeys, and had a grand ol' time! Check out our website for more upcoming classes! 🥃

Eagle Rare Single Barrel Select / Blind Tasting
- Tippin’s Market
- Jonna’s Market - Super Fine Wine
We did a four man blind tasting of 3 Michigan Single Barrel Select Eagle Rare bottles from 2017. While all three were good, there was a clear cut winner when it came down to nose and palate. Here are our results. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Super Fine Wine
2) Tippin’s Market
3) Jonna’s Market
A few notes. We thought the nose on the Jonna’s pick was far more bright and vibrant. This bottle was also the most recently opened. The Super Fine Wine was opened in October and Tippin’s in November. The extra air time could have played a part in the subtle differences we noticed. This was a fun experiment with some great bourbon and even better friends.
Sandwich special hit the spot after a productive business meeting. House made chicken cutlet with roasted red pepper, the best shoe string fries, and a snootch of Eagle Rare. Bartender was fun to talk to. Eating solo at the bar is the way to go. #craftbeer#businesslunch#drinklocal#loveyourjob#latergram
