We could tell you how good our Seasonal Tart is, but it just wouldn't do it justice. There's just something indescribable about the masterful blend of chocolate ganache and pumpkin spice cream when it's topped with a pecan crumble and spiced Chantilly.

The paintings presented in Palmette are an accumulation of work created over the past year, and a continuation of Bertucci’s depictions of the palmette, a motif most characteristically resembling the fan-shaped leaves of a palm tree. The structure of the palmette is typically a symmetrical group of leaves spreading out from a single base, normally widening as they expand, before ending at a pointed tip. Belonging to the arecacea family, the palm tree’s structure, history, and branding are a part of southern California’s blueprint. With the exception of the desert fan palm, the palm trees across California were imported and exploited for cultivation and capital. Now as they deteriorate due to disease and beetle infestation, the palm’s presence, seemingly inseparable from a kind of California branding, appears precarious. Bertucci uses the subject matter as an armature to navigate his own understanding and grappling of broader conversations, regarding systematic architectures in today’s reality.
