“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” Brene Brown #femaletribe
Happy Friday, y’all! For today’s #FridayIntroductions I’m sharing the reason why I started this account and why you’ll see changes to it in the future.
I started this account to grow a side hustle. First it began with selling wine, coffee, and other products. I still sell those things, but not actively. The motivation behind this account then changed to selling my services as a virtual assistant.
I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with social media. It’s where I’ve “met” some of the coolest people and been inspired in ways I never thought possible, but it’s also caused a lot of stress and anxiety as I compare myself to others, desperately try to find stock photos that go together, and spend hours trying to compose captions. It’s so funny to me that I can help others build their social media platforms easily, but when it comes to building my own, it’s difficult because I put so much pressure on myself.
As I’ve been working with clients over the last two months, I’ve given a lot of advice that I wasn’t ready to listen to until now. One of the most important steps I have clients take to streamline their social media is to come up with a list of 3-5 things they want to be known for. God has been chipping away at my heart lately and has lovingly nudged me to refine my own list because so far it hasn’t felt completely right. Parts of it were genuine, but a lot of it felt forced because of the pressure to sell my services.
Well, today is the beginning of a new content plan. From now on you’ll read about things that set my soul on fire. While I’m making this change for myself, I hope you benefit from it, too, whether it’s because you read something that encourages you, or you’re inspired to change up your own social media strategy so that it resonates with you.
So, what is the new content?
1️⃣ Truth about God and His love for you
2️⃣ Encouragement and inspiration for women
3️⃣ How I balance life as a mompreneur
Eventually that might mean a little less stock photos and more pictures I take, but for now, I’m taking this journey one step at a time. 😉 I hope you’ll continue to follow along!

Creating everlasting memories with friends is a beautiful way to weave a story that can fuel a lifetime of awe, it's an anchor amidst the chaotic storm that I always go back to when I start to lose sight of what's meaningful to me. It might feel out of reach and frustratingly far away at times, even unreal or like it happened to someone else, but there's always at least one element shining bright in the wreckage and it vibrates to the same tune that I have deep in me. It's romance in pure form, a breath of life I'm forever grateful for. 🎞📷👬 Plush toys by the talented @laureb28 ❤
#creatievegeest
My personal favourite are these little #owls. I painted the original with #watercolours🖌. Someone once told me that she could see the 3 stages of sleep in it. I loved it, I never even looked at it that way! #creativeminds
