How'd you spend your Sunday? I don't work many weekends anymore but I know that being your own boss sometimes means getting after it while everyone else rests.
We've got some big projects coming up this year but in the mean time I'm working on smaller jobs to keep cash flowing and stave off boredom. Thankfully while I was living in Halifax a true master craftsman we call Terry T showed me how to tape like a pro.
Terry was a dedicated taper/painter working for the same GC I was and I took every opportunity I could to pick his brain and watch his technique. Terry started out mudding full plaster walls in Nova Scotia back in the 80's, and watching that man with a 20" trowel was like watching poetry in motion. He taught me how to check mud weight, to feather an edge, flair sizing, seam sequencing, hawk/mud control and most importantly when to stop touching the damn wall!
Big thanks to @prctaping as well for the video you posted of sanding in a full face shield. I've had this 3M for years and never once thought of wearing it to sand. Such a pleasure to get home and not have compound caked in my eyes/ears!
Got the drawer slides in and the top on and clamped. Coming together! @besseytools_na parallel clamps are definitely a time saver. Now to build the drawers, attach the back, drawer fronts, paint, and drawer knobs.
