My life is far from perfect. I struggled with heart breaks, defeated obstacles, and even abandonment issues. I spent many years hating my body as a teenager, then I started lifting weights, becoming a qualified trainer at 17 it changed my life!
Now I help others, not for the money, nor the competition trophies but because they achieve self confidence in all areas of their life!
How long does it take to turnaround negative body image? It can take 6 months of intensive coaching and longer for some women to feel happy in their own skin via education and new habits with healthy nutrition and fitness motivation.

Some days what we plan doesn't happen, and getting salty for a moment happens too, the key is to make margaritas with it lol. I actually do not drink but the point is do something productive with your emotions. In my case, cheer the hell out of life for others smashing their own goals. What Artina said the other day on our team call was so uplifting. And gave me even more hope for my future. I cried from pure happiness. She was asked what great thing had come out of being a coach. She had tons to say. But what touched touched me the most was what her child said, "Mom, I'm so happy that you're home & able to take me to school & pick me up from school. No more standing in the dark waiting for the bus." That was a WOW moment!! Her kids know what she's doing for them. All from an at home fitness business. Now, my son is all grown up. And I've been home for 16 years because of my lack of mobility & pain issues from my auto accident. I had lack of opportunity as well. I have tons to make up for. A child who went without. A woman who didn't know her value. A husband who took a lot onto his shoulders.

My name is Audra, and this is my happy little family! I wanted to take moment to introduce myself, to some of the new faces I’ve invited over to my feed. Plus I am ever-evolving, so it’s kind of neat to do these intros every once in awhile, you get to learn new things about me and my family.
I am a single mom to the greatest 8 year old boy, Ian. We live in a very small country town just outside of Salem, OR with our two pretty calico kitties Joie and Juju. My son makes a great “Cat Dad”. Joie, my eldest KITTY is our protector, she thinks she is more dog than cat. And Juju is my Tigress cuddle kitty, she is all about the snuggles and really enjoys getting involved/climbing on me while I workout - We love our fur-kitties and I love love love my little family of four.
I have been a single mom since my son was born, by choice, no judgement needed, thank you. My son’s father passed away when he was three, and although he wasn’t a part of our life, my son’s family is very much a part of our life, now. We relocated to Oregon from Washington after my son’s father passed, so that my son could grow up Knowing both sides of his family. Honestly, it was one of the scariest and most rewarding decisions I have made in my life. We miss our WA family and friends a bunch, but luckily we are not too far to visit as often as we want.
I am also an online Health and Fitness Coach - I am my own boss, I work from anywhere I choose, for as much or as little time as I choose. I help people get started/get back on track with making changes to the choices we make, leading to a healthier lifestyle. This is no quick fix people, we intend to end the trend of unhealthy all around, mind, body and soul. I bleed Beachbody blue, because no other company out there, does what we do. Fighting the reputations of a coach.
Had to do an outfit change after I realized what kind of workout I was going to have today 😳 I so did not prepare for that. Then I had my kid interrupt me during my workout, so he became a weight for a bit.
Also did some balancing on my bad leg, and you can tell by how bad my leg was shaking.
Lastly, I showed some love to my belly. It’s not often that I am not bothered by it. However, my can do and will do attitude helped today. I felt like I was on top of the world because I was able to venture away from the moderation a good chunk of the workout! That’s a big step!
I think I have the love for my belly because I know under it I can feel my abs getting stronger. With leg workouts, I can feel the sexy muscle flex and get stronger !
Now, if I could figure out how to get rid of that pesky fat 😂 •
Took coach Shannon’s class tonight and know I’m going to be feeling it tomorrow! Love going to class with our members. They inspire me more than they know I think! Since I started coaching and recommitting to taking class 3-4 times a week, I am down to a size smaller jean than I was before Celia was born. Just one more size to go before I’m back to wedding size! The workout works! Nothing comes easy. It comes down to how bad you want it. A solid 10 minutes straight of abs tonight was killer, but I want to see what happens if I don't give up this time 🙌

LINK IN MY BIO ✨To support performance and recovery, one MUST eat enough calories. Increased energy demands from emptying the tank each week will create a higher calorie expenditure which will require increased calories (energy) taken in via FOOD. Plain and simple: CARBS. .
Regardless of your goals, if you are competing in the Open and want to do well, this is NOT a time to go into a calorie deficit or focus on the number on the scale. Slashing calories 10 days before the Open to try to be "lighter for gymnastics" isn't smart. Trying to change your current eating habits and only eat "clean" foods and remove necessary carbs like rice, grains, oats, bread isn't very smart either. Again, this is a time where we need to make sure we take in adequate calories to support the increased demands placed on our bodies.
It's really important to understand the energy systems used in various training modalities. The body will breakdown different macronutrients in energy/fuel depending on the energy pathway being used. For example, the glycolytic pathway (CrossFit) breaks down carbohydrates into glucose, stores it as glycogen, & uses it to create ATP (ATP is the energy source for all human movement). I will say that again in simpler terms, CrossFit is fueled by CARBS.

*A WORD ON BULKING*
bulking it not a topic i hear a lot of people talk about, especially regarding females and wanting to be fit. most girls i talk to who want to start their fitness journey do so with the intention of losing weight, not gaining it. i’m not super shredded and never have been, and i just accepted that as my body type and something i couldn’t change. but then i did some (a lot of) research and realized i didn’t know as much as i thought i did. i found out that fitness alone wasn’t enough to get me where i wanted to be. DIET was also equally, if not more, important (shocker). not just cutting calories or calorie counting. if you’re depriving your body of the calories you need, you’ll not just lose fat, you’ll lose muscle too, and you won’t be able to build any more of it. i realized i didn’t want to lose the muscle i gained just yet, because i still had more i wanted to improve on, so i decided to take these last few months of winter to bulk up before i start cutting. .
bulking isn’t just eating whatever you want whenever you want because you’re trying to gain weight anyway. it’s almost more challenging because you know you have that option, but choose not to because you want to bulk in a clean way. for girls especially, bulking isn’t the best thing to do to boost your self esteem or keep you motivated, because you’re not always able to see the results that you’ve been working for. but it’s all part of the process. i only have one week left of my “getting fat” time before i start cutting back down so i can hopefully look like the female version of my main man Shaun T (only partially joking). so yeah, just throwing that out there, some people gain weight on purpose 😁✌🏼

I read something about how "we get what we tolerate". ⠀ ⠀
How we allow people to treat us or speak to us, how we allow our past to determine our current decisions, the influence we allow the world or our circumstances to have on our actions/words. You get the gist. It's up to us to determine what honors us and what doesn't. People, self limiting beliefs, lies from the enemy, negative mindset.... and even those little seemingly innocent excuses we use day in and day out. ⠀
This week has been tough. I've been struggling with a lot of inflammation/autoimmune symptoms that have frustrated me beyond belief! Especially since I'm at a point in my fitness program where I should be feeling incredible like my friends! ⠀
But I had to take a second and remind myself that while I can't control these feelings (of frustration, self pity, envy of others who don't experience this pain), I CAN control my thoughts and actions that come from them. I had to decide that I wouldn't tolerate the excuses today. I can recognize my feelings (can't control those!), but CHOOSE to ACT despite them. ⠀ ⠀
We don't have to - and shouldn't- tolerate the excuses that are holding us back from greatness. We can choose to recognize the feelings as REASONS to move forward and show up versus EXCUSES to give in and give up.... We can choose to show up, trust in the process, and change the trajectory of the day (and inevitably our lives). ⠀
It's such a simple concept that has the power to transform it ALL!🙌🏻
