I’m so grateful that “community over competition” isn’t just a hashtag in my life. Some of the best friends I’ve made in this season are wedding photographers, and we actually do support, learn from, and celebrate each other. And sometimes we get to go to Charleston and pretend it’s summer for a weekend. 💕
I think it’s safe to say the freezing temps are behind us for a while. A beautifully, snowy shot from @thesmithsdolove to bring us into Spring wedding season. And boy do we have a season ahead! But for now, I leave you to admire these two stunning, snow bunny love birds.
These girls were the sweetest bridesmaids! And absolutely loved the beautiful bride.
This rainy Sunday has us thinking back to this rainy day at Windwood that gave way to ☀️ just as the ceremony started! Happy Sunday everyone!
During our trial run Q&A one of the questions we were asked is “what is your favorite part of a wedding day?” While there are MANY moments I adore, some of my favorite shots occur during early day preparations. Putting together your details in an artful and pretty way, to create something out of nothing, is where creativity soars. Most of the day we are documenting, so whenever we have the chance to CREATE our own shots it’s always a plus in our books. We always recommend our coverage to begin shortly before the bride’s final preparations so we have ample time to capture these darling details you’ve dreamed up and worked so hard on, like your invitation suite, jewelry, family heirlooms, etc.💡Quick Tip: Always keep in mind the early day events are just as important and meaningful for video as the main events. We want to tell a well rounded story of your wedding day through your final films, and this is one way to achieve just that ❤️ #weddingvideographer#dockhousedigital#charlestonweddings Photo by: @sarabeephoto

Y’all, this weather. I’m actively trying to not walk around outside with real-life praise hands, but it’s a struggle. On another note, how incredible are these florals, those dresses, and the gorgeous sunlight? (Along with the precious friendship, of course.) Can’t wait to share more of Candace and Jay’s sweet day with you! // #portra400 + @thefindlab
