Ah yes my first Black Metal band that I truly fell in love with. Their classical influences and a knack for creating an ominous atmosphere is second to none. This album is perfect mix of true "blackness" and classical music. I consider this to be their best work. Funerary Dirge Of A Violinist is one of the most emotional tracks ever composed, and when you realize what the song is about, it hits you even harder. I won't spoil it for you, just trust me on this one ;) Besides that you have Bitte Tötet Mich, Sir John, Little Hector What Have You Done? and other very strong tracks. Where The Corpses Sink Forever is a crucial album if you want to get into Black Metal, even if you don't, you will at least appreciate the atmosphere. They aren't called masters of Horror Metal for no reason. This truly does feel terrifying at times. Not many bands pull that off.
