My Dreamscape at Thor's Hammer just after sunset - Bryce Canyon National Park - USA.
The Belt of Venus & Earth Shadow - This atmospheric phenomenon produce these incredible colors and can be seen just before sunrise or just after sunset.
In just a few weeks I’m gonna be back here with this guy. We visited Bryce Canyon in the spring a few years ago and loved it and we are headed back again to experience it in winter. We’ve heard the hoodoos are amazing covered in snow. Have you been in winter? We’d love some ideas of hikes and winter activities... We’ll also be joining @knowhowmomtips for a couples workshop while we’re there and we can’t wait! Bryce Canyon is spectacular any time of year.
So much of landscape photography depends on luck. Brian and I often laugh that we see amazing, colorful sunrises when we are getting ready for work, but when we are on a trip and camped out for photos, the conditions are almost always poor. I’m glad that on the last day of our trip to Utah we got lucky. 🍀 Hoping to keep the streak going in 2018. 🤞
Tiny people & massive canyons 🌲
Siete mai stati al Bryce Canyon in Utah? Credo sia uno dei miei parchi preferiti, forse anche più bello del Grand Canyon.
Have you ever been to Bryce Canyon, Utah? I think it’s one of my favorite parks, maybe even better than the Grand Canyon.
One last National Parks post for today. This one comes from an amazing place - even more special in the snow. Have you been to Bryce Canyon? Check our LINK IN PROFILE for tips on visiting the NPs with your family! . . . . . Repost from @roamingthenortheast Another memory of last year’s MLK weekend, the snowy Navajo Loop trail in Bryce Canyon was both beautiful and a lot of fun. I remember the kids doing snow angels on the (uphill) side of the trail as we slowly picked our way along.
Bryce Canyon is stunning at every time of the year, but the combination of the red rock hoodoos (yes, that’s an actual word) and the white snow was fun to see. It did make the relatively easy hike a bit more treacherous, but it wasn’t too bad.

U.S. National Park Service announced that Martin Luther King Jr. Day is one of four free admission days to our national parks. Here’s a throwback to our visit to @brycecanyonnps on October 14, 2017. #BryceCanyon National Park in Utah attracts over 1 million visitors a year.
The Hoodoos in Bryce National Park are so unique it felt like with every few steps I was looking at a completely different scene, my eyes would keep catching a new angle and a new interesting formation it was so hard to choose my composition
