Been down and out with a nasty cold, but here is my final take on the last days of my 21 day mindset shift .. I was posting dailys to ensure I gave my own day a highlight of what I needed to change shift at .. and last three days was illness consumed, but my take from them would be - you yourself are solely responsible for your own success, no matter what the field, it is how you make decisions, how you let others treat you and how you envision yourself that drives where you end up .. so stop letting yourself jeopardise your success, stop letting others get in the way and most of all, stop sitting and take ACTION 🙌🏻
Months back, I made Matt promise to never let this photo see light of day. But this Thanksgiving, it’s the photo I’m most thankful for.
In the final weeks of my pregnancy, I developed Preeclampsia and got really sick a month before my due date. This severity prompted Liam’s early arrival to this world, but I never really had the chance to properly meet him until over a full day after delivery. This photo takes me back to a time where I was 60 pounds heavier from the Preeclampsia, and to a point post-pregnancy that I still have zero recollection of. I struggle daily to remember these moments of Liam’s first days. No matter how hard I try, I still cannot piece together the limited memories of my own childbirth experience.
So today, where we gather to remember what we are thankful for, I am grateful for images like this one because it helps me see a captured memory that I will never remember. I’m most thankful this year to have a healthy baby boy, and that I myself am around to take care of him. I’m also thankful for my amazingly supportive and loving husband, and to family and friends that helped me, and continue to help me, through a very trying time. Last, but certainly not least, I’m thankful for all of you that have reached out to me to offer kind words and loving support!
Happy Thanksgiving! <3
