"Dear Me, There are a few things you need to know about yourself before you became a mother. You stood exhausted on intense adrenaline to prove your self-worth...I knew you before you became a mother, for there are pieces of you still burning brightly within me. I cherish those pieces of you. However, there are parts of you I had let go of." Link to blog post:

if you know me, you know i love anything with strappy details. lingerie to dresses to shirts to shoes.
@tuttirougelingerie must have read my mind. the gorgeous alexa from their rougette range is just incredible!
i’ll be posting up a blog on it soon but for now, let’s just appreciate the mesh and strapping. and the fact the over bust strapping is adjustable?! 💯
The beautiful @carriehopefletcher posted this the other day and recently made a YouTube video lending her thoughts to this campaign.
What I've seen recently is that Carrie received criticism for her opinions because she doesn't lift weights so she can't understand who this campaign is really targeting.
So... as a weight lifter, ACE certified group fitness instructor, and certified @poppilatesofficial instructor, I wanted to lend my reasoning as to why I believe this is ultimately problematic.
It breaks my heart to hear students say they hate my class but know they "should" or "have" to go. I never want to be a source for someone's frustration or anger. I never want to be the source of a students "punishment". I believe truly that there is an exercise out there for everyone that they can actually enjoy doing. This culture of "working out is necessary, not enjoyable" is the reason more people never even try to set foot in a gym or group fitness class or whatever.
Ads like this encourage these ideas that fitness is only for a certain segment of the population who have the money, time, desire, and physical ability to "punish themselves buff". It's my desire as a fitness professional to spread positivity to as many as I can and encourage them to be HAPPY and HEALTHY.
Ads like this hinder my process. They discourage people who are new to fitness. They increase intimidation and keep people from even having the opportunity to discover something they may love.
I encourage you all to read @carriehopefletcher's inspiring words and watch her video. ❤ Love your body always. It doesn't deserve punishment ❤
Part 1// These are my four MOST important soulful tips you need to create REAL & HAPPY change in your life:
1. Love yourself fully. That’s ALL of you. The good, the bad, the confident, the doubtful. Many of my clients have suffered or suffer from anxiety. Anxiety kicks in when you are resisting a part of yourself and not seeing your whole being as worthy (in whatever circumstances you are in). This feeling of unworthy and not good enough can be detrimental and keep us from living the life we were designed to have. Keeping us from love, happiness, trust, security, and a sense of belonging. Figure out how to show love and care to ALL aspects of who you are. The moment you begin to lead with love is the moment it all changes.
2. Listen to your OWN intuition. I cannot stress this enough. It’s okay to hear other people’s opinions and viewpoints but don’t let another persons perspective and lifeview influence your own. When we do that we let go of our power and fall into a victim mode. You need to develop the strength to trust your own intuition. You are your hearts best guide. Don’t doubt that.
3. Transformation comes in steps. A mantra of mine for years has been, “small steps create huge results,” and it’s true. Don’t be afraid to start small. Whether it comes to weight loss, building a career, or healing your heart, take small right actions every single day and before you know it you’ll be where t was you were dreaming about. Each brick in a brick wall matters. ..(continue in comments)...
There are a lot of people in the world who are unaware.
But that doesn’t mean they are bad people.
I bet many of us have had moment of being unaware.
Whether we take part in gossip, have moments of being a little too egotistical or self-centered, or even things like jealously, anger, and so on. If we allow these moments to keep on occurring, it eventually leads to a dull, ugly feeling inside and the thought that the world sucks.
What should we do instead? Instead of participating in the drama or gossip, walk away. Choose to see each situation as an opportunity to understand your emotions and to create a positive atmosphere.
Choose to take responsibility for your emotions and your actions and know that tomorrow is another day, and it will be better.
Choose to try something different, step outside the limits of your mind and challenge yourself.
Know that you are here to create the life you want.
And so is everyone else. Not just a select few “lucky” people. But EVERYONE.
Every gender. Every creed. Every race. Every religion.
By raising your vibration, you allow like minded people into your life,
You might also attract people who might not be open to positive, loving vibes.
But that’s okay.
Continue to vibrate and put out love.
And maybe the vibrations will continue to expand and grow to build a positive, aware society.
Accept where you are. We all have good and bad days. We all have moments we wish we could change.
But life is an opportunity to grow.
And I accept that challenge,

🍃This trip has made me deeply appreciate my body for all that it allows me to do. Especially my legs & lungs which enable me to climb mountains for 6 hours in search of abandoned quarries, temples & my speedy boyfriend. . 🍃
Our body is a miracle and our vessel for life. We must treat it kindly & with love to ensure it carries us through this wild world as best it can. .
How can we show ourself a little more kindness? .
Avoid negative self talk, fuel ourselves with wholesome food & adequate water, ensure restful sleep each night, making time to be in & connect with Mother Nature, prioritise a work + play balance, find our inner child, be present and in awe of the now. .
I would love to hear your other ideas ❣️ Sending you love from Peru x
Can't go wrong in a classic white corset! ❤ New from Coquette Lingerie. 😍
🌲 Oregon Grown 5/6 Here is a little poem that I made based on my experiences and observations living in Portlandia as a POC. Take it as you like.
I won’t stop you, or judge you, or argue against you. I’ll let you continue to feed your own cognitive dissonance. Ill let you continue to believe that you are supreme and superior over me. I’ll let you believe your gentrification is progress, I’ll let you think that your coffee and tea practices are ethically and sustainably ok. I’ll let you walk past me as you ignore my presence, in your arrogance, I’ll let you continue to exclude me and my people from your conversations and agendas. I’ll let you meet your own lies full circle. I won’t intervene. I’ll let you appropriate what my people have been hated for. Ill let you parade in our culture, and speak in our slang. I’ll let you have fun with it. I’ll let you take my food and sell it for fortunes. I’ll let you have it all. I’ll let you do all those things because that’s the only way you’ll learn. I’ll let you repeat history, and I’ll let you build your discoveries on things that already existed. I’ll observe, I’ll let you continue forever. Continue to feed your cognitive dissonance.
