⭕️BENCH PRESS SET UP (SEEN FROM THE BACK) ⭕️
Reposting this to link it to the previous one I made today, so that it’s more clear on how you should see the bench press set up, like. -
Creating a strong base to perform an exercise is exactly HOW you’re going to get stronger at THAT particular exercise. You NEED to become a master of the basics. This is why you NEED to understand every single CUE of each exercise in order to maximize its potential and get swole as F***. -
This one is one of the most important things (is there anything that isn’t important?) to keep in mind, when performing the bench press: -
✅ On the left they are adducted & “protected” because pushed in, resulting in pushing out your chest. Together with that, locking them down will bring your chest up, aligning your shoulders with it.
Virtually “Rotating your hands externally” (virtually because you can’t really bend the barbell) will just make everything more stable and every upper back’s muscles more tight, giving you the best “way” to start the set. -
❌On the right, nothing of this happens. There’s no tightness, shoulderblades aren’t tucked back & in, which means that your chest isn’t even sticking out as a result. That just results in an overall weak & unstable bench, that doesn’t even involve your chest, ending up causing pinching pain here and there in your shoulders (which get most of the load!)
Always, always, always be super tight and check all the boxes ✅ becore doing the reps!

Never posted up a front on pic as I always thought I've looked narrow but main goal was width for the off season and for my chest and shoulders to pop, finally confident enough for a front on shot . Not there yet but we working 🤘🏽
1 week into a 20 week prep, @paulie_v_fitness and I are hitting a long prep this time to get me in leaner and bigger for next year May, follow along on my journey y'all 🙌🏽 #coachgoals#icn2018#teletubbies#compprep
Ask any woman what body part she craves more in a man, and chances are she’ll say shoulders.
Prominent shoulders are a sign of great strength and masculinity.
They are an essential attribute of the Alpha male…
Because they are one of the 3 keys of an impressive V-Taper (the other two being a wide back and a small waistline).
Boulder shoulders will make your woman feel safer…
And will suggest other males to watch out around you.
So how do you build shoulders worth noticing by all, and admired by many?
The truth is, you only need to focus on 3 things...
And I cover them all in a brand new article. The link is in bio👉
