Here’s another excellent trophy from Kyrgyzstan. At 49” this is the type of trophy our clients typically harvest when they pursue sheep in this country. The Hume Argali generally don’t grow horns as large as the Marco Polo (Ovis Ammon Polii) in Tajikistan but they are a lot more affordable in Kyrgyzstan and are often hunted in moderate terrain at lower elevations.
Sheep and ibex in Kyrgyzstan with Asian Mountain Outfitters is a hunt that should be on every hunters radar to do at some stage in their life. It’s one of the greatest alpine hunting adventures on the planet.
I am OBSESSED with this South Texas Whitetail Buck!!! I have been working so hard the last couple of weeks to try to get this BEAUTIFUL 6x6 buck in front of my lens. And finally this evening, right at dark, he came out at 15 yards from my blind! This was the first time in two weeks I laid eyes on him!!! It was right at dark, and as you can see from these cell phone photos I shot of the back screen of my camera, I had to use extremely slow shutter speeds because it was so dark!!! So, I’m hoping there’s some sharp photos of him, in these. Before this evening, all I had seen of this buck, to even know he existed, was a short video clip the landowner texted to me which put this buck on my radar, and my trail camera photos of him that I’ve been getting of him occasionally, though most of them were at night. I was playing a game of chess with this buck, trying to figure his movements and patterns out, by moving around multiple trail cameras to different feeding areas on this South Texas ranch, and moving my blinds around based on the intelligence I gleaned from the trail camera pics, but I have had no personal sightings of him, until tonight!! And finally it came together!! Below freezing temperatures (which are rare for as far south in Texas that I live) and an ice-covered truck greeted me this morning at 4 am before I left for the ranch, but I hoped this would make this buck hungry and get him up on his feet in daylight. And as you can see, it worked!! No, sweet, golden light on this guy, but I’m hoping I’ll eventually get him in conditions like that as I continue to put the pieces together on his daily routine. I’ll keep you posted! 😁
With the increasing popularity and use of video trail cameras there are more amazing clips following each hunting season.
This @stealthcamgsm video from @whitetaildean recorded a good deer getting harvested by @tcarmsco. Epic work guys. 🍃
Keen aussie hunter @robbieaustenbowhunter had an epic self guided backpack hunt in America last year. He took it down to the wire on the last day and cut his tag on a lovely six point elk. Along the way he got to enjoy all that the Rockies has to offer, including eating grouse for dinner.

Sometimes those big black bears just want to stretch out and give themselves a good old fashioned itch!
Use of trail cameras has certainly added another dimension to our guiding operation and there is no doubt that monitoring individual animals and following them throughout the years certainly leads to an increased opportunity for clients to harvest big mature trophy class animals.
