Hi there! I don’t think I’ve ever actually introduced myself on here so I thought I’d take a minute to just say hi and tell you a little about me.
My name is Sandra and I’m a health coach. I help women with a fear of breast cancer ditch toxins in their diet and environment so they can have peace of mind and be bulletproof in their health. My mom died of breast cancer at age 38; I was 5 and my brother was 3. For most of my life, I thought I had a 50/50 chance of getting breast cancer. Turns out, that’s not really how it works. Only 5-10% of all cancer cases can be attributed to genetic defects, while the other 90-95% is attributed to diet, lifestyle and environmental factors. How empowering is that?! I’ll be 30 in June. I’ve been married for 3 years and we’d love to have kids someday. As I think about starting a family, it makes me wonder even more how my mom felt knowing she was so sick with cancer and that there was a strong likelihood she’d be leaving two really young kids behind. It brings tears to my eyes. And knowing how pervasive breast cancer has become nowadays, I’m betting you or someone you care about has been impacted by it also. We’ve been led to believe that early detection is the best prevention. I strongly disagree. Early detection does not equal prevention. Prevention starts with eating lots of nutrient dense foods, getting more sleep, managing stress, detoxifying, moving our amazing bodies, cleaning up our beauty/personal care and taking crazy good care of ourselves. And how do we do all this?
Well, that’s my mission! To help show you the how. To educate and empower women who may be thinking the same thing I was: that since I have such a strong family history of breast cancer, I might get “unlucky” and “randomly” get it as well. Breast cancer isn’t going away; more and more women are becoming statistics. There is so much we can do to reduce our risk.
So there you have it - a glimpse of why I care so much about health and how I plan to help women who are ready to up their prevention game.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. I mean that sincerely. If any of this resonates with you, I’d LOVE to hear from you!! 😊❤️💪

Am I the only one who sees an ironic connection between my physical fitness components and my business/work ability?
I’d say flexibility is probably not only my best physical fitness component, but also one of my greatest business strengths. If I have a good relationship with a client, I’m willing to bend over backwards to ensure their success (pun intended).
After that, I think endurance is my next best physical fitness component. I was a long distance runner in high school, and let me tell ya, I had no idea how much the value of “keep keepin’ on” even when you’re tired has influenced my life. It has made me an incredibly driven and loyal worker.
The physical components I need to work on, and coincidentally, my business goals that I need to work on are strength and balance. I do not yet have a strong, established social presence to be an influencer. Also, my arm muscles are very weak lol. I want to build my arms and core alongside my business’s social influence. And as for balance— There’s a reason I don’t like teaching kids in the gym skills on the balance beam. I’m bad at balancing. And my greatest weakness in business right now is balance. Having multiple clients (and a part time job at a start up) keeps me very busy and it can be difficult to balance it all plus my personal/social life. I’m definitely going to be focusing on refining the way I balance my work and my personal life in 2018.
Do your physical strengths/weaknesses also align with your business strengths/weaknesses? What’s your forte in both? What qualities do you need to work on more in 2018, be it physical or work related? I’m curious!
So I got my purple faerie lights in the mail yesterday and I took the photos today so expect more! I’m loving my new theme and Instagram, I plan on writing a blog post today since I have time to do that.
I have this odd love for Wonder Woman, I went to go see it with two of my friends at my old job, and I was blown away by the CGI, the characters, the story, and I’ve never been a huge of Marvel or DC Comics, (please don’t hate me,) I haven’t seen all the Captain America movies, I’ve only seen like two, and not in order. Wonder Woman struck me as so fantastic because this movie is just empowering for Women everywhere, that you don’t need a man or a woman to save you. She is so inspiring and I absolutely love the cast they chose. Was honestly shocked to see “Remus Lupin” in the movie, I was sitting there going “Wow that guy looks so familiar!” And I remembered I had seen him in Harry Potter duh! But this is just one of my all time favorite movies. I think everyone should see it.
I do plan on reading this but right now I’m re-reading the Throne of Glass series by @therealsjmaas and getting back into my love for @hamiltonmusical. But yes I will be reading Wonder Woman by @lbardugo ❤️💙❄️
