Storm...the oldest brewery in Vancouver and a must see for several reasons...their beer is probably the most creative, their tasting room is the brewery and with a full dose of East Van culture, this can't be missed! #yeastvan#bc<#bcbeer#bccraftbeer#vancouver#stormbrewing ing #bc
Packing some Crystal #hops today! Crystal is an aroma hop with earthy and woody tones. It is quite versatile, used in pale ales, IPA's and even stouts and lagers 😄💎 Email email@example.com to order yours! 🍻
Dan and Kyle are saying, "Go forth and check out our new Amber Ale!" Dark ruby, rich and malty. 🍻 You should probably listen to them. They know a thing or two about beer. 😉
If you experienced, or grew up in the #80s anywhere in North America you were probably exposed to the soap opera spectacle that was the #WWF (World Wrestling Federation). Over-the-top personalities, pageantry, rivalries and outrageous outfits to match. One of my favourite personalities from my time as a wrestling fan was Koko B. Ware (aka The Birdman) and his mascot, a macaw named Frankie. @twinsailsbeer you have done the man and legend justice. Thanks to @the.partaker for putting this can aside to share!

@twinsailsbeer makes amazing NE IPAs. This goes without saying and if you are at ALL a follower of BC craft beer then your next words are something like,
“NO SHIT, SHELDON!”
I would posit that their Stout game is just as strong. “You Gonna Eat That?” is a Black Forest Cake Stout described as delicious and delivering on all fronts. Black Forest Cake? Yup, I can see that. And like a BFC, the cherry is there but not in your face. My face is funny though: I wonder if it would taste even BETTER with more cherry...
Listen, if you’re not a fan of Pastry Stouts, that’s fine: there are myriad other beer swimmin’ in the sea.
But if you ARE the kind of Fan who likes his cake in a Can, then Holy Moly Bud! THIS Bud’s for you!
@centralcitybrew IPA still killing it on Ratebeer! Best beer with the best price. Email or DM us for more info!! 🌲🌲🌲🇨🇦🍺
Frozen in midair. This is a sneak peak at some of this weekends shoots.
@twi@twinsailsbeer / RANDOM THOUGHTS / 5.9% / ?? IBU
Random thoughts: one of these beards is not like the other. Nothing says friendship like male nudity in confined spaces. Oh and this beer is quite tasty.
@twinsailsbeer Random Thoughts is a sour farmhouse saison conditioned in red wine barrels on blackberries and cherries. Pouring pink/amber, the tart punch of cherry hits the nose hard with a slight farmhouse funk and red wine following. The flavour is tart and complex, with less Brett funk than I was expecting being a farmhouse. The cherry on the nose comes through on the tongue with a touch of dry red wine. VERY carbonated (see last pic), finishing with a lingering acidity. Overall a nice beer, great for sharing but not something I’d want to personally crush 750ml of in one go. ~Brian 🛁
I thoroughly enjoyed the Clover All Over from @strathconabeer over the weekend while watching @spidadmitchell take home the NBA dunk contest trophy 👌🏻 A fitting beer for the occasion, as this Irish Stout was slam dunk of flavour on my taste buds! Also, the holographic label with the clover pattern is on point.
Thought I’d invite this award winning,(Best BC Craft Beer...twice!), Pilsner by local brewery Steamworks, to join me on this fine Monday afternoon. So glad I did! It’s full bodied for a Pilsner, and the hint of lemon is 👍🏻. Cheers!🍻
*JUST TAPPED* In the spirit of the #Olympics we've decided to tap Swedish Gymnast Blonde Ale by @twincitybrewing *Aaaaand cue the puns*
A light blonde with a lot of hops. All jokes aside, this hybrid mash-up is part blonde ale, part India Session Ale, and part American Wheat Ale. Using only a pineapple-citrus forward hop variety called Citra this beer is heavy on tropical hop flavour without an overwhelming bitterness
I love a beer with a back story. This Belgian Amber Ale from @mainstreetbeer was brewed in tribute of the great uncle of @jack_the_brewer. “Gilly” Bensley was lost over Belgium in 1941 while piloting a “Flying Suitcase” a nickname give to a mid sized Hampden bomber during World War II.
The beer has flavours dried fruits, banana and a nice toasted maltiness with a bit of spice. Keep your eyes out for this one! .
A friend just posted her weekend beer haul so I thought I’d better post mine too.
Check out the sexy bottles bookending all those crushable Coast Mountain cans!
The latest drop in their local artist series, the Wild Creatures Rustic Farmhouse Ale is just BEGGING for the “What’s on the bottle” treatment so maybe I’ll do a little vid next week when I pop the top off.
🍑 @powellbeer Southern Belle (4.8%). A Berliner Weisse with peaches, lactose and vanilla, aka peach milkshake in a can! I got to attend the release for this treat and they were pairing it with peach pie 😳 It has a subtle tartness and is smooth from the lactose and of course tastes just like peach pie. Yum 😋 🍑
@whistlerbrewing Chestnut Ale. 5% ABV. This limited edition release is sweet, rich and full of flavour. As expected, it tastes like toasted nuts with a warm finish. It may be too sweet to drink more than 1 or 2 back to back but the district flavour is addicting and crave worthy. We have already replenished our stash before this limited edition disappears. #bcbeer#beergeek#instabeer#beerporn#beerstagram
On Friday night we brewed up a NE style IPA, hopped with Neslon Sauvin, El Dorado and Mosaic. Each of the three fermenters has a different yeast strain. We went with California Ale V, London Fog and Kveik. Can't wait to taste the results. 🍻
