BIG NEWS! 2 years ago I was given a prestigious invitation to be a visiting artist and exhibit my apron paintings at the Ballarat Apron Festival in Australia - the world's only festival dedicated to aprons! At the time I just couldn't make the timing and finances work, but I never stopped dreaming and planning. This year I received the invitation again and have decided it's too important of an opportunity for my art career to let pass again, so I'm making a bold move and decided this WILL be the year I achieve this goal. So I'm tying on my apron strings and putting on a "no matter what" attitude and committing to be there this year, with my hands full of every apron painting I can get there! Thank you to everyone who has ever supported me by buying a painting or print, whether you knew it or not, you were helping me reach this goal. I promise to keep you all posted along this journey ❤️(P.S. Here's a detail shot of my latest painting - a Taniwha - Australian brand apron)
We are looking forward to our May-June show, Fabulous Maude. This will be a group exhibition of some of our town’s fierce, fabulous contemporary artists. Inspired by the forgotten passionate Ballarat local artist, Maude Glover-Fleay, this group show takes a close look at the living , breathing stories that make up the hidden side of our city.
