Pires: “Win against Man City at Wembley on Sunday & win the EL & for me it will be a great season. [Can Arsenal beat Man City ?] Of course they can beat City. When you look at the team on paper, Arsenal can beat all the teams. They beat Chelsea in the semis, why not Man City in the final?”
Wenger on Guardiola: “Even if he doesn’t win [on Sunday], I have as much respect as when he wins because I think the people who have an influence in the game, it’s very important they have a positive attitude towards the game.”
CUP FINAL🔥 - We face Manchester City today at 4:30PM GMT at Wembley Stadium. Last time we reached this stage of the League Cup we lost to Birmingham in the final, to continue our trophy drought. This time out we face a Man City side who have only lost 3 times all season, with the last being the 1-0 loss at Wigan, a very poor result for them. Similarly, we lost to Swedish side Ostersunds 1-2, so both teams will be wanting to bounce back. Ospina should start in goal (as confirmed by Cech), Auba can play but Lacazette is still out for about a month so he will not feature. City have an almost full strength side available with Sane returning against Wigan and Jesus now back in training, and with our shaky defence, I can’t see any way for us to keep a clean sheet. In the end, it will come down to outscoring them rather than holding out, but all I can see is a City win based on the current runs of form. My predication is, unfortunately, a 3-2 win for City. What do you think???
