On the surface all diets are the same.
Don't believe me? Look at this:
Atkins - A low carb approach to dieting, by removing carbs you lower your overall daily calorie intake.
Paleo - A diet focused around foods present during cave man times. It encourages "back to the land" natural eating. By removing all calorie dense, processed foods you lower your overall daily calorie intake.
Juicing - Swapping meals for juices. By drinking more juice and removing whole foods you lower your overall daily calorie intake.
Intermittent fasting (5:2) - Involves 5 days of eating normally followed by two days of restriction. By taking 2 low calorie/fasted days you lower your overall calorie intake.
Low fat - A low fat approach to dieting, by removing fat you lower your overall daily calorie intake.
Low sugar - A low sugar approach to dieting, by removing all sugars where possible you lower your overall daily calorie intake.
Cambridge diet - Involves swapping meals for branded shakes. Commercially known as a liquid diet. By making this swap you lower your overall daily calorie intake.
Morning banana diet - Involves swapping your typical breakfast for a banana. By making this trade you lower your overall daily calorie intake.
See! They all lower your overall daily calorie intake, placing you in a deficit. The only difference between them is the belief systems and values we hold about each one.
A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. Every day you wake up, think about what a privilege it is to simply be alive and healthy. An alternative to buying a slow feeder bowl for the dogs who hoover their food.* This large, flat river rock on top the kibble slows dogs down by requiring them to nose around it. *The caveat is that you must supervise as some dogs will pick it out, potentially damaging teeth.
