This is the most delicious breakfast I’ve had in a long time. I love quick and easy breakfasts, but I’ve honestly never been a fan of scrambled eggs because I don’t like the yolks cooked. Some of the essential jerrfffyyyyy produce purchases here. My roomie and I split the bill and go grocery shopping every 10-12 days. We rarely eat out because it's usually a bit of a disappointment for the price/serving compared to the delish feasts we make at home lol I get a good amount of my carbohydrates from fruits (lots of frozen berries too) because I enjoy them, but I also eat a lot of potatoes, jasmine rice, beans, and quinoa (which all have a skosh of protein as well). Avocados are an epic source of healthy fats and I use them for everything. Usually eat 1/2-1 per day. Also, cabbage FOR DAYS. It is on the EPA's clean fifteen (has a low pesticide count), it is cheap AF, and it is a nutrient dense cruciferous vegetable. Chop it up and serve raw or cooked, add some to anything. But we don’t just look at marketing labels on the front, right?? WE CHECK INGREDIENTS. . Pic 2️⃣. Ingredients: Wild Salmon. 👍🏻 . Pic 3️⃣. We see the description, “FRESH ATLANTIC SALMON” and might think to ourselves, “The Atlantic is an ocean, sounds good!” However, in smaller print we read, “Norwegian Farm Raised”. Well that’s a bummer! We know wild caught is always better than farm raised. . Pic 4️⃣. Ingredients: Atlantic Salmon (color added). 👎🏻👎🏻 Farm raised salmon doesn’t have the same look as wild salmon, so often color is added to make it more “pink”. ☹️ . Moral of the story: ALWAYS CHECK YOUR INGREDIENTS.

This statistic is just crazy. But you almost can’t blame people because sugar is hiding in EVERYTHING, even things labeled as “health foods.” Did you know some studies have shown that sugar is more addictive than cocaine? Read your labels. Know what’s in the food you’re eating. The FDA has implemented a new rule that will require food companies to specify the amount of “added sugars,” i.e. sugars that do not occur naturally in the product. You may have even seen this already on some labels. 🙌🏻 For reference, 4g of sugar = 1 tsp. (Daily recommendation for women is 25g or less. For men, it’s 37.5g or less.) Also, did you know that ingredients on food labels are listed in descending order by volume? So if sugar (or one of the other 60+ names for sugar) is listed towards the beginning of the ingredients, that’s usually a bad sign.

Made up a recipe for Banana bread pancakes and it was a huge hit. Willa and Jules had seconds...and thirds...and fourths 😳 I topped mine with @tra@traderjoes peanut butter. The kids had theirs with maple syrup. Here's what I did: Blend together in the Vitamix: 1 C @kodiakcakes pancake mix 1 C @traderjoes #glutenfree oats 1/4 C coconut sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon Pinch of nutmeg 2 eggs 2 ripe bananas 1 tsp vanilla 1 C milk of choice or water Blend for a few seconds Make pancakes!
