Getting stronger and growing everyday! 👊🏽💪🏽 Of course I have my off days and struggle in some areas but practice makes perfect and my progress is still mind blowing to me, I couldn’t be happier! This past week I hit 405 for one and 365 for 5 on squats, 205 for 3 (😑 could’ve killed the last two but shoulders freak me out) on flat bench, and 225 for 1 with 205 for 5 on decline. Sometimes I’ll even hover over the same amount of weight for sometime if my form is breaking while completing my set because it’s pointless to go up in weight with bad form, that’s how we get hurt 🚑😩 Where do I struggle most? Unos de los principios fundamentales de cualquier entrenamiento deportivo es el SAID es un acrónimo tomado del estudio de la fisiología. Significa adaptación específica a una demanda impuesta. En términos sencillos, significa que el cuerpo está diseñado para volverse más eficiente o mejor en las tareas que hace de forma repetida. Por ejemplo, si una persona desempeña casi la totalidad de su jornada laboral sentada frente a un ordenador y, cuando por la noche regresa a su casa, vuelve a sentarse, esta vez en su sofá, para ver la televisión, su cuerpo poco a poco se irá adaptando a que le resulte más fácil estar sentado, mediante modificaciones de las estructuras, los tejidos, etc. Desafortunadamente, estas adaptaciones para ser más eficiente en la tarea de estar sentado, no te preparan para jugar el partido de futbol el fin de semana. . . A que me refiero con esto, Muchas veces veo (especialmente chicas) diciendo quiero gluteos grandes o chicos quiero brazos y pectorales grandes, y cuando ves su entrenamiento el mismo no esta alineado con sus metas, chicas especialmente queriendo construir gluteos grandes HACIENDO 4-6 HORAS DE CARDIO a la semana, la pregunta que yo me hago es : Estan tratando de ganar musculo o se estan preparando para un Marathon?, porque recuerda tu tienes que estimular el sistema que quieres mejorar , en este caso es la hipertrofia muscular que no tiene nada que ver con carreras de largo alcance. Las adaptaciones y señales moleculares son diferentes, el requerimiento calorico y el volumen e intensidad del entrenamiento tambien lo son. . . Eso de ganar musculo y perder grasa al mismo tiempo solo pasa "Efectivamente" bajo 4 circumstancias : Principiantes, Personas en esteroides, Principiantes con sobrepeso y Personas reintegrandose al gym despues de una lesion. Si tu no eres ninguna de estas y estas tratando de ganar musculo y perder grasa al mismo tiempo o incluso si tu entrenador te esta diciendo que es lo mas optimo, estas perdiendo tu tiempo y deberias questionar a tu entrenador. Recuerda entrena para aquello en lo quieres ser bueno , si quieres ser bueno construyendo musculo pues dedidca tu entrenamiento a ello y no al cardio.

🚧 BUILDING BIGGER ARMS - BICEPS 🚧 . 💪🏻The biceps are considered flexor muscles because they bend the arm. Despite being a relatively simple movement, there are hundreds of types of arm curls . There are numerous variations of arm curl exercises and some are better than others. But there is no such a thing as a “single best” arm curl. A variety of movements are necessary for complete development, and relying on only a few exercises can lead to overuse injuries and slower progress👎🏻 . To get a full biceps contraction the arm/elbow must be extended to shoulder height or above 🙆🏻‍♂️ . For a fully stretched biceps the arm actually needs to be behind the body and extended↘️ . Here are 3 examples of effective exercises that hit the biceps in different ways for complete development: . 1️⃣Incline Dumbbell Curls: . This is the most effective exercise for isolating the long head of the biceps. The incline position allows the elbows to be drawn back, away from the body, thus recruiting the long head . 2️⃣Zottman Curls: . This is one of the best upper arm thickening exercises because it thoroughly stresses all the elbow flexors. It feels uncomfortable at first, so it may take a few workouts to get used to this movement . 3️⃣Overhead Cable Curl: . By raising the arm up to shoulder height during the Overhead Cable Curl, the front deltoid muscle is now forced to keep the arm in that position using an isometric contraction and cannot help actually curl the weight with a concentric contraction. This fully isolates the biceps muscle for a peak contraction . Enjoy❗️

We all know that person who thinks that it’s okay to have a little bite or piece of off-plan food here and there on a fat loss diet, not a big deal, right? It’s just a couple of M&M’s, a bite from your friend’s pizza , small handful of nuts, a little spoon of peanut butter. It won’t hurt anyone right? Nobody sees me anyway so it doesn’t count. . . Wrong. Everything you put in your mouth off-plan adds up and can get your out of that caloric deficit you need to be to lose fat, if you do it any other day it may be fine but if it’s every-time (And you know when it is all the time) you will pay the price for it. I don’t even have a problem if you are aware of the consequences but if you are wondering why you are not losing weight or even telling your coach that everything is fine, here it’s when the problem comes. These people are the same who will say things like: My Metabolism is broken, my genetics, I’ve tried everything and nothing works, etc. . . The Reality is that if you stop lying to yourself and sticking to the plan , you will see the results you are looking for. 5 months out compares to 5 weeks out. Differences speak better on the scale as I currently weigh 139lbs (photo 1) whereas I was 129lbs (photo 2). I use sundays as my rest days. It’s my day to decompress, focus on what’s most important to me, and start mentally and physically preparing for the week to come . It’s so important that we take the time to rest and refuel. As women, we are so quick to run ourselves ragged and drive ourselves crazy trying to “do it all.” We often are so preoccupied with what we need to do that we forget to sit still, take a deep breath, and just focus on what’s right in front of us . I know that I am the queen of trying to do 50 million things at once. You know what it has lead to for me? Disappointment, dissatisfaction, and pure exhaustion . Take this time today to ENJOY life.
