🌸Obstacles are put in your way to see if what you want is really worth fighting for🌸 Somedays I wake up plan exhausted and all these excuses come to mind but I simply try to focus on my goals and how I will feel once I reach them.. BEEN hitting my mat hard these past couple of months. Yoga puts both my mind and body at ease. I sit up straighter. My flexibility is noticeably better. When I put my heart into a class, I feel grounded. I feel centred. . Years ago, I would skip the savasana portion of the class. When I did stay, my mind would start creating a to-do list and that in itself was stressful. Now, I embrace savasana. During one class, I cried. I actually CRIED. It was a good cry. But there are days when my mind can’t re-centre. And that’s OK now. Because yoga is a practice.🙏🏼 Putting more time into my practice is one of the best things I have done in 2018. . . Double trouble. I’m still trying to work out the right balance with work and #mumlife and with Flinny on the move, I cannot take my eyes off him. It’s taken things to a whole new level. He has gone from not crawling and sleeping 3-4hrs a day 3 weeks ago to climbing around and along furniture, crawling laps around the house and not sleeping more than half hour twice a day! So when I used to have 2 hours in the morning I’m finding I have 15mins in which I need to switch off just to keep myself sane!! We had a bit of a rough night last night too so I slept in this morning and missed my run ☹️ another thing that keeps me sane. My saviors this morning.... 1. Taking him out for a walk, even if I was singing at the top of my lungs to prevent him from falling asleep. 2. Meditation and music for 10 mins as soon as he went to sleep 3. Doing my 5 min journal and practicing gratitude 4. Mapping out my week so I have a flexible plan around achieving my goals. Here goes...

This sweet girl is still smiling through her discomfort. Still not sure what is causing her ear pain so we may be taking a trip to the doctor just in case it's more than teething. She is really not wanting much else than cuddles right now and this tired mommy is totally ok with that after a long day of pitching lessons. 💞 Thankful for daddy getting some meal prep done for us tonight so we will be ready to go for week 2 of 13 tomorrow! @ramblinmanfromalabam

I woke up this am sooo sore from my run yesterday. It was awesome. During nap time, I went for another 1.5 mile run. The sidewalks were clear since it was around 40 all night long so it was a much safer run lol I meal prepped waffles for m1 this week. I'll eat waffles the next 4 days then pb toast to finish the week. I usually eat apples or something from the cafeteria at work with this. I made @skinnytaste skinny broccoli mac and cheese. This is by far the most complex recipe I've made on my own and it turned out freaking awesome. #selfhighfive I also made her 3 cheese tortellini and mushroom soup in the instant pot. The flavor was good but I think I did something wrong because everything was just mush. So unfortunately that didn't turn out. I might try to make it again in the future on the stove top instead. I did the DMs (minus jump tucks because legs are dead) while dinner was cooking. I purchased @laurengleisberg new 30x30 today.
